JOSHUA’S STORY

Joshua Aaron Bradshaw was the most kind and generous person you could ever hope to meet. He was loved by everyone who knew him. He had a “larger than life” presence that you could feel in a room, even before you saw him. His smile alone could light you up even on the darkest of days. He firmly believed that for all the things that hold you back in life, there is much more pulling you forward. He loved fiercely and had a huge heart. His friends often say he was the “glue” that held the group together. His family remembers his wild spirit but mostly his genuine care for others.

Joshua had passion for arts, sports, video games, and superheroes. He could talk about the Marvel universe for hours and would educate anyone who would listen. He also loved all forms of water- whether it was the pool, the ocean, or the shower, he never wanted to get out. He found a love for theater and was so proud to have a role in our local production of The Crucible.

Joshua’s generosity knew no bounds. Often clothes and other things would disappear because he would give them to a friend who wanted it, or he felt needed it more than he did. He was known to bring an extra jacket to school on a cold day for someone who may have forgotten theirs. When he went out with his friends, he would use his extra change to pay for a friend who couldn’t afford to go out or make sure the wait staff got a big tip.

With the gift of organ donation, Josh continues on as he lived his life- with generosity and kindness. He saved 6 people with organ donation and many others with his tissue. He donated his heart, lungs, liver, and kidneys. We know he would be proud to know how far his generosity continues to spread and the impact he continues to make.
